A Beautiful Day to be a Woman!

Well today is International Women’s Day! Happy happy!

The last century saw so many sea changes for women – the right to vote, to equal pay, to education – in the western world. Let’s hope for two things – continued progress in the west as well as massive movement forward in countries where women are still treated like second class citizens.

Today, as an American woman, I’d like to take a moment of gratitude for the opportunities I’ve been afforded because of the trailblazing women who’ve come before me.

Will you join me? Perhaps we can raise some awareness so that women elsewhere gain access to education and avoid antiquated and unjust situations such as trafficking.

Today, I am so very grateful to be an American woman.
