Slow Down, You Move Too Fast!
Rushing to get to my next destination today, a very elderly woman stopped me: “Excuse me, Miss.” She said this slowly and was slightly off-kilter. As a 20+ year New Yorker, my thought was “hurry, lady, I need to move.” But I resisted. And I’m so glad I did.
Workin’ It and Workin’ Hard – at Home!
I’ve heard people say “I’m not a gym person” as justification for not working out. No longer! There are so many things you can do to kick butt and get fit within the comfort of your own home! Feel good and get healthy. You can do it for very little money, but there are also other options are for a bigger investment.
Whole House Water Filtration – What’s in Your Shower?
I have spent a lot of time this summer researching the merits of a whole house water filtration system. At a nutrition/well-being seminar a couple of years ago, they indicated that properly filtering your water is critical to good health. What’s proper water filtration? My research led me to the best system…
Feeling Stressed? Chunk It Up!
Feeling stressed? Got a case of the overwhelms because there is (a) too much going on in your life, (b) too much gone wrong in your life, (c) not enough time in the day, or (d) all of the above? Break it all down. Have a look and see what I’m talking about!
Is Your Brazilian Wax Double-Dipped?
Women all over the place have been submitting their nether regions to hot wax in an attempt to keep things clean and tidy. And once they find an aesthetician who gets them, women are very loyal. Very. So much so that they will drive miles, or in the case of NYC folk, cross town or trek up or down town. But hey – is your aesthetician double dipping?
Aging Begets More Happiness, Fitness and Health! How??
The other day, I wrote about my half birthday – 6 months to 40, or as my husband puts it, “you’re really on the downside of your 30s!” Ha ha. Who’s laughing? Apparently, a lot of people! In the last week, I’ve talked to a few people who are actually psyched about aging! What’s their secret?
Really Halfway to Another Decade!
The summer has flown by, and I hope you are squeezing every last drop of vacation, fun and sunshine out of it! And now it’s really six months to 40 for me. It’s been an interesting, slightly challenging time. When I envisioned this summer, I pictured lots of activity… tennis, marathon training and just goofing around with the kids. Unfortunately, I had a physical hiccup in early July that put the kibosh on the first two, and made me a little cautious with the last.
Think You Can’t Because Someone Else Already Did? Hello, Flywheel!
So many people have great ideas. But a big chunk of them (me included) don’t do one thing toward turning those ideas into reality because someone else has been there, done that. And to be fair, maybe that someone else has done it super well! My experience at Flywheel Sports in Sag Harbor reminded me again that it’s action that separates the doers from the dreamers and that you can launch a new product, service or idea even if there are successful others that have come before you!
Can You Envision Your Life in 20 Years?
What do you want to be when you grow up? This is a question that’s stayed with me – and one that can help you create the life you truly desire. I find it particularly useful in workshops with clients who are thinking about their next steps. In these workshops, participants visualize a day in their life 10 or 20 years from now. Almost always, they are surprised by what they see, and some actually take action based on the vision! One such man? Let’s call him Todd.
